Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Critical Operations Technician I to install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, mechanical, and related equipment inside our data center. You will monitor systems, perform rounds and data analysis to ensure optimal operation and assist customers on the floor both in person and via phone.

The role requires on-site work in a 24/7/365 environment with no remote or hybrid options, and involves following procedures for change management and ticketing to support uptime

Qualifications

• Two or more years of technical training, military training, or workplace equivalency.
• Background in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Performs installation, repair, and maintenance of IT, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and controls equipment.
• Monitors building systems, conducts routine assessments, and analyzes data for performance.
• Assists customers on the Data Center floor, handles equipment installs, and manages tickets.
