Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Critical Operations Technician I to install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems inside and around our data centers. This on-site role supports a 24x7x365 environment and requires hands-on work, tracking tickets, and collaborating with systems engineers.

You will perform preventive maintenance, data monitoring, and customer equipment installs, with on-site responsibilities and on-call readiness.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of technical training or equivalent
• Background in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Applies learning and policies to IT, electrical and mechanical equipment and operations
• Leads maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment; records readings
• Provide remote hands and eyes services for customers
• Install and configure IT and electrical equipment per procedures
• Create and update tickets for customer calls and site issues
• Operate and monitor critical systems and respond to emergencies
