QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Critical Operations Technician I to support a 24x7x365 data center in Virginia. The role involves installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of IT, electrical, and mechanical equipment, plus on-site customer assistance and ticket management.

On-site labor is required with no option for remote or hybrid work. Strong problem-solving and documentation skills, plus familiarity with MS Office and ticketing systems, are essential for success in this busy environment.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of technical training, military training, or workplace equivalency.
• Background in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical areas.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead, maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Provide remote hands and eyes services for customers.
• Install and repair IT, mechanical, and electrical equipment and accessories.
• Process work orders for preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Create/update tickets in the ticketing system and respond to alerts.
