Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Critical Operations Technician I to install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems across our Phoenix data center. You will monitor equipment, run tests, document readings, and assist customers on the data floor both in person and by phone, escalating issues to systems engineers as needed.

This on-site role requires flexibility to cover a 24x7 schedule; familiarity with ticketing systems and basic computer hardware/software is

Qualifications

• Two or more years of technical training or workplace equivalency.
• Background in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Familiarity with data center environments and ticketing systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment and controls.
• Lead preventive maintenance and record readings for proper operation.
• Provide remote hands and eyes services and on-site customer support.
• Create and update tickets; escalate alerts to systems engineers as needed.
• Follow Change Management and QTS procedures for maintenance work.
