Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Critical Operations Technician I to install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment across building interiors and exteriors. The role monitors systems, analyzes data, and escalates issues to systems engineers while assisting customers on the data center floor both in person and by phone.

The position requires on-site work in a 24x7x365 environment with no remote or hybrid work option and includes diverse responsibilities from ticket

Qualifications

• Two or more years of technical training, military training, or workplace equivalency.
• Background in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment; records readings and adjusts for proper operation.
• Provide remote hands and eyes services for customers.
• Install and configure IT, mechanical, and electrical equipment per documentation and procedures.
• Create and update tickets for customer calls and system alerts.
