Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced leader to oversee a team of ICs and 24x7 engineering staff across multiple data center sites.

You will balance tactical management with strategic guidance from leadership, ensuring safety, high availability, and adherence to SLAs while optimizing workflows and operational best practices. The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, mentorship across teams, and collaboration with vendors to resolve complex facility issues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management or team lead experience.
• 1+ years of root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• 2+ years in a data center or critical environment with UPS, generators, HVAC, or 7+ years of relevant military/trade training.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervisor and manager of a team of ICs.
• Oversee 24x7 engineering technicians and coordinate tasks.
• Manage site/campus responses to technical problems.
• Maintain safety culture and adherence to policies.
• Budget management for operations and expenditures.
• Engage in improvement projects and drive to completion.
• Coordinate with vendors to meet SLAs.
• Escalation point for facilities-related issues.
