Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Facility Manager to lead 24x7 operations, ensuring high availability and reliability of critical power and cooling systems across our data centers. You will oversee on-site teams, manage budgets, and drive safety and performance improvements.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to maintain SLAs, implement proactive issue detection, and mentor engineers and technicians in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of people management and team development experience.
• 5+ years of engineering work managing large-scale services experience.
• Experience maintaining SLAs through proactive issue detection and reporting.
• Experience operating a mission-critical team or product.
• High school or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the data center’s critical physical infrastructure and maintain high availability.
• Manage on-site 24x7 shift technicians, sub-contractors and vendors ensuring safety and quality.
• Drive safety and security culture and compliance within the team.
• Hire, coach, and promote team members; manage career development and performance.
• Oversee operation and management of routine and emergency services on critical systems.
• Respond to out-of-hours emergency calls; act as escalation point for facilities issues.
