Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Operations Manager to lead a 24x7 team responsible for maintaining critical physical infrastructure across San Jose-area data centers.

You will ensure high availability, safety, and adherence to SLAs while coordinating with cross-functional teams. The role requires strong leadership, deep data center operations knowledge including UPS, generators, HVAC, and safety culture, and experience in budget management and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management/team lead experience.
• 1+ years of experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting/problem solving.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in a data center or other critical environment with extensive knowledge in UPS, Generators, HVAC, Evaporators and other critical infrastructure OR 7+ years of Technical (Military/Trade School) training and/or experience

Responsibilities

• Direct supervisor and manager of a team of ICs.
• Oversee 24x7 engineering technicians and assign tasks, manage projects, coach and document.
• Manage the operations budget and expenditures.
• Drive improvement projects from conception to completion.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors to meet SLAs.
• Escalate and communicate complex technical information clearly.
