Job summary

Emerson seeks a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead sales across North America for our Appleton product portfolio. You will drive revenue growth, develop strategic partnerships with customers and channel partners, and collaborate with regional sales teams to shape account and market growth strategies.

Ideal locations are Chicago, IL or Houston, TX, with 50–70% travel and a proven B2B sales track record.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, a Technical Field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years business development or sales experience with consistent track record of success.
Experience driving sales growth in a business-to-business environment.
Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to develop sales strategies based on customer needs and market trends.
Experience working across cross-functional teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
Requires 50 -70% travel time

Responsibilities

Drive sales growth across North America for Appleton product portfolio.
Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with owners, operators, engineers, contractors, and channel partners.
Build and maintain strategic customer relationships.
Conduct direct sales calls as appropriate to drive the objectives of the business
Maintain an active pipeline and provide accurate forecasting and business updates.
Collaborate with regional sales teams to develop account and market growth strategies.
Influence project specifications and position Emerson solutions early in the sales cycle.
Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
Partner with marketing on industry events, webinars, and demand-generation activities.
Maintain an active pipeline and provide accurate forecasting and business updates.
Represent Emerson at customer meetings, industry conferences, and trade events.
