Job summary
Emerson is seeking a Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across its industrial software and PLC portfolio in North America. You will shape market development plans, build a strong pipeline, and expand adoption through direct customer engagement and collaboration with sales teams, partners, OEMs, and system integrators.
You will develop executive-level relationships and expand software-led selling by connecting software capabilities with PLC, edge, and automation opportunities,
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering, CS, business or related field.
- 8+ years in industrial automation, controls, or related tech markets with success in BD or sales.
- Experience with PLCs and industrial software ecosystems including HMI/SCADA, edge, data connectivity, visualization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute NA business development strategy for industrial software and PLC-related solutions.
- Identify priority industries and partners to drive sustainable orders growth.
- Advance strategic opportunities through early customer engagement and cross-functional coordination.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline and support CRM, forecasting, and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with regional sales, channel leaders, OEMs, and system integrators on account plans.
