Job summary

ABB in the United States is seeking a senior operations leader to run the day-to-day Data Center Services Center of Excellence. You will oversee field service delivery, surge team development, and cross-functional collaboration to exceed customer expectations.

The role is remote within the U.S. with a preference for candidates in the Western or Mountain Time Zones, and up to 50% travel. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business is required, and candidates must have US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business or commensurate experience.
• Knowledge of Data Center Start-up and Commissioning strategies and field service personnel development.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Improve service availability, quality, and customer experience across field service operations.
• Develop field service strategy aligned with global business objectives.
• Ensure customer focus, urgency, and care in service interactions to drive retention.
• Drive continuous improvement, first-time-right execution, and KPI-based performance management.
• Identify onsite opportunities to enhance customer operations and communicate them to account teams.
• Lead a culture of operational excellence, risk management, and end-to-end service delivery.
• Manage resource planning, workload balancing, and compliance with HSE standards and ABB Way.
• Oversee Surge Team operations, onboarding, training, compliance, and validation of timesheets, expenses, and supplier invoices.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development for Field Service Engineers/Technicians.
• Collaborate across ABB teams to assign personnel, resolve issues, support projects, and drive improvement.
