Job summary

ABB is hiring in the United States for a leadership role in Data Center Services within the Electrification Services division. You will run day-to-day activities for the Data Center Services Center of Excellence, ensuring exceptional customer outcomes in a remote-capable setup.

You will lead a surge team, coordinate field service operations, and develop strategies aligned with global objectives. A Bachelor's degree and travel up to 50% are required to support project execution across the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in engineering or business.
• Knowledge of Data Center Start-up and Commissioning strategies and field service personnel development.
• Experience with MS Project, Google suite, SAP and project issue resolution software (BIM, Compass, CxAlloy, Procore).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Technical understanding of power delivery equipment: transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays.
• Strong safety, housekeeping, and environmental regulation compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and customer-focused mindset.
• Willing to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Improves service availability, quality, and customer experience across field service operations.
• Develops, implements, and reviews field service strategy aligned with global objectives.
• Ensures customer focus, urgency, and care in service interactions to drive retention.
• Drives continuous improvement, first-time-right execution, and KPI-based performance management.
• Identifies onsite opportunities to enhance operations and informs account teams.
• Leads operational excellence, risk management, and end-to-end service delivery.
• Manages resource planning, workload balancing, and compliance with HSE and ABB Way.
• Oversees Surge Team onboarding, training, compliance, and validation of timesheets and invoices.
• Provides leadership and development for Field Service Engineers/Technicians.
• Collaborates across ABB teams to assign personnel and support project execution.
