Job summary

Core Scientific, Inc. seeks a senior facilities leader for our on-site Texas data center.

You will manage the complete physical asset lifecycle and lead a team of technicians to ensure 100% uptime by optimizing power, cooling, and environmental controls. You’ll be the single point of contact for facility issues, onboard new sites with cross-functional teams, enforce SLAs and change control, and develop site procedures while collaborating with HR and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in mission-critical environments.
• 3+ years’ direct management of non-exempt shift-based employees.
• Valid driver's license.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, decision-making and budgeting abilities.
• Leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to operate in high-pressure, mission-critical environments.
• Ability to read and understand complex drawings and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete physical asset and O&M of data center infrastructure.
• Build a staff of qualified technicians and assistant managers.
• Manage power and cooling and monitor environmental conditions.
• Resolve electrical, mechanical, and fire protection issues with minimal risk.
• Serve as single point-of-contact for facility-related issues.
• Oversee onboarding of new site with construction and ops teams.
• Supervise day-to-day facilities staff and coaching programs.
• Develop site operating procedures and documentation.
• Enforce CMMS usage and audit CMMS databases.
• Ensure 100% compliance with standards and lease expectations.
• Identify and implement new policies; enforce SLA and change control.
• Hire and onboard new employees; vet subcontractors.
• Develop PM contracts and negotiate terms.
• Collaborate with HR and leadership.
