Job summary

Core Scientific is seeking an Assistant Critical Facilities Manager to oversee data center operations and maintenance of critical infrastructure on-site. You will help build a capable team of technicians and engineers to achieve 100% availability, while ensuring safety and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

You will train staff on colocation data center environments, power and cabling layouts, and remote hands tasks, with shifts to support 24x7 operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mission-critical operations or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in mission-critical environments.
• 1+ year of direct management of non-exempt shift-based employees.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Experience in creating and managing a preventive maintenance program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operation and maintenance of data center infrastructure, equipment, and systems.
• Build and lead a staff of technicians to deliver 100% uptime while minimizing risk.
• Manage power and cooling capacity and monitor environmental conditions.
• Support 24x7 data center operations with on-call coverage.
• Coordinate data center construction, commissioning, and transition to operations.
