Job summary

Core Scientific is seeking a Critical Facilities Manager to lead data center operations across sites, ensuring 100% uptime and safety. You will assemble and manage engineers, technicians, and contractors, directing maintenance, power/cooling management, and incident response with a customer-focused mindset.

The role reports to the Director, Data Center Engineering, and requires 5+ years in mission-critical environments, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in mission-critical environments.
• 3+ years’ direct management of non-exempt, shift-based employees.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal/external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities for complex problems.
• Financial acumen for budgets, analytics, and invoicing.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to operate under high pressure in mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee physical assets and maintenance of data center infrastructure to ensure uptime.
• Build and lead a staff of technicians and assistant managers with required skills.
• Manage power, cooling, environmental conditions, and safety within data halls.
• Address electrical, mechanical, and fire protection issues and communicate with management and customers.
