Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Data Center Electrical Engineer for our Building Engineering Services team in Denver, Colorado. You will lead electrical design on mission-critical projects, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with clients, project managers, architects, and other disciplines to deliver high-quality construction documents.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of electrical design experience, PE license, and strong knowledge of power systems, NEC, and risk-based design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Electrical emphasis) and PE license.
• 10+ years design experience in electrical systems for buildings.
• Experience with mission-critical/data center projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, power distribution, and life-safety systems.
• Proven leadership, mentoring and client coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design on data center/mission-critical projects.
• Coordinate with clients, PMs, architects and other disciplines.
• Prepare and review construction documents, specs, and RFI responses.
• Perform QA/QC reviews and ensure code compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage project workloads.
