Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Data Center Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design of data centers within the Building Engineering Services team in Colorado. You will mentor engineers, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver high-quality construction documents and specifications for mission-critical facilities.

This role requires an electrical engineering degree, 10+ years in electrical design, and a PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Minimum 10 years of electrical design experience for buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Professional Engineer license recognized by the licensing board.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, organize, and manage the growth of junior staff and coordinate multidiscipline teams.
• Lead electrical design for data center/mission critical projects and coordinate with clients and architects.
• Perform QA/QC of construction documents and participate in code compliance reviews.
• Provide design support during construction including site observations and RFI responses.
• Develop feasibility reports, construction documents, and engineering calculations.
