Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Data Center Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services team in Denver, Colorado. You will lead electrical design for mission-critical data center projects, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering, a PE license, 10+ years in electrical design, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Office, and power system tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with Electrical emphasis.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by the licensing board.
• At least 10 years of experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting, life safety, and building management systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and power system analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design on data center/mission critical projects from concept to construction.
• Coordinate work with clients, project managers, electricians, architects, and other disciplines.
• Develop feasibility reports, construction documents, specifications, and engineering calculations; respond to RFIs and review shop drawings.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of construction documents, specs, and reports; ensure code compliance.
• Lead design meetings and provide design support during construction; mentor junior staff.
