Job summary

HDR, Inc. in Denver is seeking a Data Center Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for data center projects, coordinate with clients, project managers, architects and other disciplines, and manage construction administration.

You will mentor junior staff, develop feasibility reports and construction documents, review submittals and RFIs, and ensure design meets reliability, sustainability and schedule goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (PE or P.Eng).
• Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Mentoring/Managing: grow a team and coordinate multidisciplinary efforts; ensure documents are produced on schedule.
• Technical: lead electrical design for data center/mission critical projects; coordinate with clients and team members; review design discussions and conduct design sessions.
• Support construction: field observations, submittal/review, RFIs.
