Job summary

HDR is seeking a Data Center Electrical Engineer to join the Building Engineering Services team in Denver, Colorado. The role focuses on leading electrical design for mission-critical projects and mentoring a diverse engineering team.

You will coordinate with clients, project managers, and multi-disciplinary teams to develop feasibility reports, construction documents, specs, and calculations while guiding RFIs, shop drawings, and site activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (PE or P.Eng).
Strong skills with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power.
Active participation in HDR's employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

Mentoring and managing: grow a collaborative team and ensure high-quality construction documents.
Technical: lead electrical design for data center/mission critical projects and coordinate with clients and the multidisciplinary team.
Attend design meetings and lead electrical discussions; conduct sessions with PM, Architect, and other disciplines.
Review RFIs, shop drawings, and provide design support during construction including site observations.
Travel to job sites or HDR offices as needed.
