Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Engineer in the Advanced Manufacturing group for data center facilities engineering, design, and construction. The role offers location flexibility within the United States and will involve power distribution, UPS, grounding, lighting, and low voltage systems.

You will interact with clients and contractors, apply quality reviews, and collaborate with the broader team to deliver robust construction documents. A PE license and data center experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years' experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems, building electrical systems, and campus-style power distribution including conveyance.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with industrial facility design.
• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) is preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Engineering and design for data center facility power distribution systems, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications.
• Interact with clients, owners, and contractors to support construction on site.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.
• Manage quality, scope, budget and schedule for assigned projects.
