Job summary

Jacobs is hiring an Electrical Engineer in the Advanced Manufacturing group with a focus on data center facilities. The role involves design of power distribution, UPS and related systems for mission-critical environments. Location is flexible within the U.S. and preference is for proximity to Jacobs offices.

You will work with a multi-disciplinary team, perform design reviews, and interact with clients and contractors to deliver quality construction documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years' experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems, building electrical systems, and campus-style power distribution including conveyance.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with industrial facility design.
• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design data center and mission-critical facility power distribution systems, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications systems.
• Perform quality reviews of design packages and assist with other portions of the design process; interact with client, owner, and contractors.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to establish design requirements and produce construction documents; manage scope, budget, and schedule.
