Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Engineer in our Advanced Manufacturing group to design data center power distribution systems, UPS and grounding, while coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team. This hybrid US role supports projects across locations and remote work as needed.

You will contribute to design packages, support client interactions, and help ensure quality and on-time delivery for complex facilities. A PE license and 6 years in the field are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• 6 year experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems, building electrical systems, and campus-style power distribution including conveyance.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with industrial facility design.
• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer data center power distribution systems, UPS, grounding, lighting and low voltage communications.
• Perform quality reviews of design packages and collaborate with multi-discipline teams.
• Interact with clients, owners and contractors to support construction on site.
• Manage quality, scope, budget and schedule within projects.
