Job summary

Jacobs, a global leader in engineering and sciences, invites an Electrical Engineer to join the Advanced Manufacturing group to design and deliver power distribution for data centers and other mission-critical facilities in the United States.

You will develop design packages, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, interact with clients, and help supervise quality, scope, budget and schedule while embracing Jacobs' hybrid work policy to split time between offices and remote locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• At least 6 years' experience in engineering design of medium/low voltage systems and campus power distribution.
• Extensive knowledge of industrial facility design.
• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC).
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer data center power distribution, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low-voltage communications.
• Possibly retrofit existing buildings to meet evolving client needs.
• Manage quality, scope, budget and schedule; engage with client and contractors on site.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define design requirements and produce construction documents.
