Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical BIM Designer to lead setup and management of Revit BIM models for data-center projects, coordinating with discipline leads and engineers to deliver constructible designs that meet client standards.

Using Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD, you will create and manage 3D models across disciplines and produce 2D construction drawings, ensuring clash-free deliverables and accurate design intent translation by the electrical design team.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of BIM design experience.
• At least 3 years of electrical systems design experience.
• A growing understanding of how codes and standards shape design decisions.
• A growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function.
• Basic understanding of wiring/cabling connections in relation to a circuit or a link between devices and equipment.
• Experience following client design and modeling standards.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to estimate hours required for design and modeling efforts based on provided mark-ups and/or verbal direction requests.
• Willingness to learn new things.

Responsibilities
