Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical BIM Designer to set up and manage Revit BIM models, coordinating with electrical leads and other discipline teams to produce integrated 3D models and 2D drawings. You will work within Jacobs’ design team on data center projects, applying BIM standards and ensuring clash-free deliverables.

The role requires strong Revit/AutoCAD experience, familiarity with Navisworks and Bluebeam, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to design and coordination.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of BIM design experience.
• At least 3 years of electrical systems design and the construction industry experience.
• Growing understanding of codes and standards shaping design decisions.
• Growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to estimate hours for design and modeling efforts based on mark-ups/direction.
• Willingness to learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Design documentation setup and management of Revit BIM models in coordination with other discipline BIM leads.
• Create and manage content towards fully coordinated 3D models across disciplines (C,S,A,M,E,P,T,I,L).
• Produce 2D construction drawings.
• Coordinate with designers, discipline leads, architects and engineers on Jacobs design team.
• Apply Jacobs design methods and BIM standards to deliver clash-free deliverables.
