Job summary

Jacobs in the United States is seeking an Electrical BIM Designer to lead the setup and management of Revit BIM models, coordinating with discipline leads to produce fully coordinated 3D models and 2D drawings for data center projects.

You will apply Jacobs design standards, use Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD, and collaborate with architects and engineers to deliver constructable deliverables. Hybrid work model with offices and remote locations supports growth.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of BIM design experience.
• At least 3 years of electrical systems design experience.
• Growing understanding of codes and standards shaping design decisions.
• Growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function.
• Ability to estimate hours for design and modeling work.
• Willingness to learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage Revit BIM models in coordination with other discipline leads.
• Produce coordinated 3D models and 2D construction drawings.
• Work under electrical discipline leads to translate design intent into deliverables.
• Collaborate with designers, architects and engineers on Jacobs projects.
