Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical BIM Designer to contribute to design documentation and manage Revit BIM models in coordination with the electrical team. You will create and coordinate 3D models and 2D drawings using Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with Jacobs and client BIM standards.

This role requires hands-on BIM design, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with designers, engineers, and other disciplines.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of BIM design experience.
• At least 3 years of electrical systems design experience in construction.
• Growing understanding of codes, standards, and design specs.
• Basic wiring knowledge and estimation of design/modeled hours.
• Familiarity with client design standards and Bluebeam or similar markup tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Design documentation and setup/management of Revit BIM models.
• Coordinate BIM content with other discipline BIM leads and team members.
• Create and manage 3D models and 2D construction drawings across disciplines.
• Ensure models meet Jacobs and client BIM standards and clash-free requirements.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and architects to turn design intent into deliverables.
