Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical BIM Designer to lead the setup and management of Revit BIM models, coordinating with discipline leads and engineers to produce fully coordinated 3D models and 2D drawings. The role emphasizes attention to detail, collaboration with clients in the Data Center market, and adherence to Jacobs standards.

Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years in BIM design and electrical systems experience, with knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years of BIM design experience.
• At least 3 years in electrical systems design and construction industry.
• Growing understanding of codes and standards shaping design decisions.
• Growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function.
• Basic understanding of wiring/cabling connections in circuits or device links.
• Experience following client design and modeling standards.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to estimate hours for design and modeling work from markups or direction.
• Willingness to learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Design documentation and setup/management of Revit BIM models.
• Coordinate BIM content across design disciplines and ensure constructible deliverables.
• Produce clash-free 3D models and 2D construction drawings in coordination with team members.
