Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical BIM Designer to create and manage Revit-based 3D models, coordinate with other disciplines, and produce 2D drawings. You will collaborate with engineers and architects under project leads to deliver constructible content in line with Jacobs standards.

Requirements include at least 3 years of BIM design and electrical systems experience, familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with BIM design experience in electrical projects.
• Minimum 3 years of BIM design experience and 3 years in electrical systems construction.
• Knowledge of codes, standards, design specs and their function.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage content toward fully coordinated 3D BIM models across disciplines.
• Prepare and review 2D construction drawings from Revit/AutoCAD models.
• Collaborate with discipline leads to meet Jacobs design standards.
• Assist with estimating hours for design and modeling work based on markups.
