Job summary

Jacobs is hiring an Electrical BIM Designer to set up and manage Revit BIM models for electrical systems, coordinating with multi-discipline teams to deliver constructible 3D models and 2D drawings. The position emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and adherence to Jacobs and client BIM standards across projects.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of BIM design experience, strong Revit/AutoCAD/Navisworks skills, understanding of power and cabling layouts, and familiarity with Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of BIM design experience.
• Minimum 3 years in electrical systems design and construction.
• Understanding of codes/standards shaping design decisions.
• Knowledge of design specifications and their function.
• Familiarity with markup software (Bluebeam).
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to estimate design hours from markups/directions.

Responsibilities

• Design documentation and manage Revit BIM models in coordination with team.
• Create and manage content for fully coordinated 3D models across disciplines.
• Produce 2D construction drawings.
• Collaborate with designers, discipline leads, architects and engineers.
• Ensure clash-free models and adherence to standards.
