Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Controls Specialist to lead design, configuration, commissioning, and ongoing optimization of BMS and EPMS across AWS data centers. You will coordinate with operations and engineering to drive reliability and efficiency in critical facilities.

This role emphasizes project leadership, vendor management, and hands-on troubleshooting of building automation and electrical monitoring systems, with occasional local travel to data centers as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of controls experience in industrial environments.
• 5+ years of experience with industrial controls in critical environments (data centers, etc.).
• Experience with vendor management and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist internal customers with BMS/EPMS design, configuration, and commissioning.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and LOE for BMS/EPMS projects.
• Provide on-call technical support for AWS data centers.
• Develop SOO, modify controls logic, and create GUI interfaces.
• Procurement activities: RFIs/RFPs and PO issuance.
• Visit data centers to troubleshoot and supervise vendor work.
