Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Controls Engineer to troubleshoot, design, and manage BMS/EPMS in AWS data centers. You will work on power, cooling, and control systems with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, cost-efficient capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with industrial controls in critical environments (data centers, pharma, manufacturing, oil & gas, etc.).
• 4+ years of general project or vendor management experience related to construction and project execution.
• Experience designing data centers or critical MEP infrastructure.
• Prior AWS/Amazon experience.
• Candidate must meet ITAR compliance.
• Registered as PE or PMP.
• 4+ years of military service.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform Root Cause Analysis or Corrective Action for BMS and EPMS issues in AWS data centers.
• Train and assist internal customers and stakeholders with BMS/EPMS design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning and operation.
• Provide technical assistance during data center life cycle and support operations.
• Review quarterly maintenance results for BMS/EPMS and resolve action items.
• Develop and manage scope, schedule, budget and LOE for BMS/EPMS projects.
• Manage project scope, schedule, finance and execution for BMS/EPMS improvements.
• Assist in procurement activities including RFx, proposals, and purchase orders.
• Participate in AWS global on-call schedule for BMS/EPMS support.
• Attend project meetings and report status to Controls leadership.
• Support commissioning activities and feedback on SOO and design teams.
• Develop/modify control logic programming and GUIs.
