Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to troubleshoot and manage BMS and EPMS in our data centers. You will work with a team to design, configure, validate and operate control systems across critical facilities.

Responsibilities include project scoping, scheduling, budget management, and coordinating with stakeholders. Extensive on-site visits to data centers and collaboration with vendors are required to ensure compliance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with 5 years of controls experience, or 10 years without a degree.
• 5+ years of experience with industrial controls in critical environments (data center, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, etc.).
• 4+ years of general project or vendor management experience related to construction and project execution.
• Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform Root Cause Analysis for BMS and EPMS issues in AWS data centers.
• Train and assist internal customers with design, configuration, validation, installation and operation of BMS and EPMS.
• Provide technical assistance and support to operations during the data center life cycle.
• Review maintenance findings and drive closure of action items for BMS and EPMS.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets and LOE for BMS and EPMS initiatives.
• Manage scope, schedule, finance and execution of BMS and EPMS improvement projects.
• Assist in procurement activities including RFQ/RFPs and PO issuance.
• Participate in AWS global on-call schedule for immediate BMS/EPMS support.
