Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is hiring a Data Center Controls Engineer to manage BMS and EPMS systems in AWS data centres. You will troubleshoot, design and implement controls for mechanical and electrical systems, and coordinate with internal teams and vendors.

The role involves project leadership, lifecycle support, and on-call participation to ensure reliability and compliance across facilities. A strong background in industrial controls and vendor management is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial control systems hardware and software.
• 2+ years of vendor management experience in construction/project execution.
• 3+ years of controls experience in a critical environment (data centers, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist internal customers with BMS/EPMS design, validation, installation and operation.
• Provide technical support to operations during the data centre life cycle and address maintenance items.
• Develop scope, schedule, budget and LOE for BMS/EPMS projects requested by customers.
• Manage scope, schedule and finances of BMS/EPMS improvement projects in AWS data centres.
• Assist in procurement activities including RFQs, vendor reviews and PO issuance.
