Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the United States is seeking a technical Controls Engineer to lead BMS and EPMS initiatives within flagship data centers.

You will troubleshoot, design, configure, validate and operate control systems across multiple facilities. The role emphasizes project management, procurement coordination and on‑site field supervision, including on-call support and collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience on construction projects.
• Electrical or mechanical engineering degree plus 5+ years of controls experience, or 10+ years controls experience without a degree.
• 5+ years of experience with industrial controls in critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist internal customers and stakeholders with BMS and EPMS system design, validation, installation and operation.
• Provide technical assistance to operations during life cycle; review maintenances and resolve actions.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and LOE for BMS/EPMS projects.
• Manage scope, schedule, finances and execution of BMS/EPMS improvements in AWS data centers.
• Support procurement activities including RFIs/RFPs, vendor proposals, and PO issuance.
• Participate in AWS on-call schedule to provide BMS/EPMS support; report status to management.
• Support commissioning activities and feedback to design teams on SOO and logic.
• Develop/modify control logic programming and HMI interfaces.
• Coordinate multiple stakeholder deliverables and navigate challenging situations.
• Manage BMS/EPMS service contract finances.
