Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Virginia is seeking a controls specialist to troubleshoot and manage BMS and EPMS across AWS data centers. You will collaborate with operations and project teams to design, install, test, and optimize controls systems while upholding safety and compliance.

This role requires strong electrical and mechanical systems knowledge, project management experience, and willingness to travel on-site for commissioning and support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience taking new designs from exploration to deployment or mass production.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of data center equipment and building codes (NFPA/NEC/OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform RCA for BMS and EPMS issues in AWS data centers.
• Train and assist customers with BMS/EPMS design, configuration, validation and operation.
• Provide technical support to operations during data center lifecycle.
• Review maintenance actions and drive resolution for BMS/EPMS.
• Develop project scope, schedule, budget and LOE for BMS/EPMS improvements.
• Manage scope, schedule, finances and execution of improvement projects.
• Assist procurement: RFQs, vendor reviews and PO issuance.
• Participate in AWS on-call schedule for BMS/EPMS support.
• Lead meetings, report status to controls stakeholders.
• Support commissioning activities and feedback to design teams.
• Develop and modify control logic and GUIs.
• Navigate multiple stakeholder requirements and maintain compliance.
