Job summary

Technologent is seeking an IT Security Pre-Sales Engineer in Austin, TX to partner with sales and identify cybersecurity needs, translate them into scalable solutions, and drive opportunities from discovery through PoC. The role requires 5+ years in cybersecurity-related fields and strong collaboration with executive and IT leadership.

The position emphasizes architecture design across SIEM/SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM/PAM, Zero Trust, and cloud security, with hands-on demonstrations, workshops, and RFP

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, technical pre‑sales, solution architecture, consulting, or a related customer‑facing technical role.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical discipline; relevant cybersecurity certifications preferred.
• Experience presenting, designing, and positioning security architectures across multiple domains (SIEM, EDR/XDR, identity, data protection).
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001 and Zero Trust principles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor with Account Executives to identify initiatives, requirements, risks, and security opportunities.
• Lead discovery, assessments, workshops, and architecture discussions; translate needs into solution recommendations.
• Communicate technical concepts and business value to security, IT leadership, and executives.
• Support proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and client objections; assist with PoC/PoV activities.
• Design scalable security architectures across SIEM/SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM/PAM, cloud, and data protection.
