Job summary

Technologent seeks an IT Security Pre-Sales Engineer to identify cybersecurity needs for customers and shape scalable, practical solutions. You will partner with the sales organization to connect security requirements, business priorities, and risk-management objectives with technology and services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering or related customer-facing technical role.
• Experience supporting enterprise technology sales with Account Executives and customers.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM, PAM, Zero Trust, and network security.
• Understanding of enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, and data architectures.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001 and related standards.
• Excellent presentation, written communication, and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations and offices as required (in-office near Denver).

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted cybersecurity advisor with Account Executives to identify initiatives, requirements, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead discovery, workshops, architecture discussions; translate business needs into solutions.
• Engage IT leadership and executives; clearly communicate technical concepts and business value.
• Support strategy, technical demos, RFP responses, security questionnaires, and objections.
• Support PoC/PoV activities and coordinate status, risks, and next steps with the sales team.
• Design scalable architectures across SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM/PAM, Zero Trust, cloud, data protection.
• Develop high-level architectures, BOMs, licensing, and scope for proposals/SOWs.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure feasibility and transition to operations.
• Advise on roadmaps, modernization, governance, and risk management in security programs.
• Coordinate with manufacturers/partners for workshops, configurations, pricing, and certifications.
• Share cybersecurity expertise across teams to enable sales and delivery.
