Job summary

Technologent, Inc. in Nashville, TN is seeking an IT Security Pre-Sales Engineer to identify cybersecurity needs and shape practical, scalable solutions for customers. This role partners with the sales organization to connect security requirements with technology and services.

You will lead discovery with Account Executives, develop architectures, present recommendations, and support opportunities from qualification to close, across SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM, and Zero Trust.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering or related customer-facing roles.
• Experience designing or positioning security solutions across multiple domains.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM and Zero Trust.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical architectures.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, CIS Controls and ISO 27001.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted cybersecurity advisor with Account Executives to identify initiatives, requirements, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead customer discovery, assessments, workshops, and architecture discussions; translate needs into recommendations.
• Engage stakeholders from security engineering to IT leadership; communicate technical concepts and business value.
• Support strategy, proposals, RFPs, demos, and customer objections throughout the sales cycle.
• Assist Proof-of-Concepts and validation activities; report risks, dependencies, and next steps.
• Design scalable security architectures across SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM, Zero Trust and cloud security.
• Develop high-level architectures, bills of materials, licensing, and SOW scope.
• Ensure feasibility and smooth transition to implementation and operations with delivery teams.
• Advise on roadmaps, gaps, modernization, and governance while aligning tech with people and processes.
