Job summary

Technologent, Inc. is seeking an IT Security Pre-Sales Engineer to identify cybersecurity needs and shape scalable solutions in a customer-facing capacity.

You will partner with the sales team to align security requirements, business priorities, and risk-management objectives with technology offerings. Responsibilities include leading discovery, architecture discussions, and workshops; translating business and security needs into recommendations; and collaborating with executives and delivery

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering or related customer-facing technical role.
• Experience designing and positioning enterprise security solutions.
• Knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM, Zero Trust, cloud security.
• Ability to translate business and security needs into architectures.
• Strong presentation and communication skills for executives.
• Willingness to travel up to 35 miles from a Technologent office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted cybersecurity advisor and partner with Account Executives to identify customer initiatives, technical requirements, business risks, and security opportunities.
• Lead customer discovery, assessments, workshops, and architecture discussions; translate needs into solution recommendations.
• Engage stakeholders from security engineering and architecture through IT leadership and executive teams; communicate technical concepts and business value.
• Support opportunity strategy, technical presentations, demonstrations, RFP/RFI responses, and customer objections.
• Support Proof-of-Concept and Proof-of-Value activities; communicate status, risks, and next steps to the sales team.
• Design practical, scalable security architectures across SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM, PAM, Zero Trust, cloud, data protection, and more.
• Develop high-level architectures, BOMs, licensing requirements, solution components, and implementation assumptions.
• Ensure proposed solutions are feasible and can transition to implementation; collaborate with delivery teams.
• Advise customers on roadmaps, gaps, modernization, and governance relationships.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and partners on workshops, demonstrations, and pricing; maintain partner certifications.
• Collaborate across sales, architecture, services, and security operations; share expertise to enable sales.
• Maintain knowledge of threats, vendors, frameworks, and market trends in cloud security and AI.
