Job summary

Maersk is seeking a CHB Operations Associate to manage end‑to‑end customs brokerage operations for a dedicated portfolio of accounts. You will partner with customers, carriers, government agencies, and internal teams to ensure imports are compliant, efficient, and on‑time.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of customs brokerage or related industry experience.
• At least 2 years in a CHB or operational support environment preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working under pressure.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team‑focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Customs House Broker License preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of daily customs brokerage operations for assigned customers.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers, providing timely shipment updates.
• Prepare and process U.S. Customs entries and PGA filings with full regulatory compliance.
• Open and manage entry files aligned with KPIs and service standards.
• Coordinate shipment clearance with freight forwarders, steamship lines, airlines, and CFS.
• Track inbound shipments from port or airport through final delivery.
• Ensure all required documentation is uploaded into operating systems.
• Complete customer billing, delivery orders, and required operational reports.
• Maintain and update customer SOPs as needed.
• Collaborate with teammates to support coverage, cross‑training, and peak‑volume needs.
