Job summary

Maersk in New York is seeking a CHB Operations Associate to coordinate and execute shipments for key clients, ensuring service levels are met daily. The role supports a small group of accounts, expediting shipments from start to finish; by developing familiarity with import programs and coordinating file processing with team members and other Company work groups.

Qualifications

• Experience in CHB operations or customs processes preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Own all CHB operations services for assigned customers
• Provide customer service and respond to information requests
• Process customs entries and PGA for clearance of goods
• Coordinate clearance with forwarders, steamship lines and airlines
• Complete customer billing and reports
• Track inbound shipments and coordinate delivery to destination
• Maintain customer SOPs and update as needed
