Job summary

Maersk is seeking an CHB Operations Associate to coordinate shipments and ensure client service levels daily. You will support a select group of accounts, expediting end-to-end shipments and learning import programs.

Responsibilities include processing entries, coordinating with forwarders and airlines, and handling billing and tracking. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required; familiarity with CargoWise is desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CHB experience.
• 6-12 months of experience in the industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently.
• Persistently drives issues to closure.
• Well organized, detail oriented – especially when working under pressure.
• Works with others to achieve results and fosters teamwork.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Customs House Brokerage License preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own all CHB operations services for the customers assigned to them.
• Provide customer service and assist customers with questions and requests for information.
• Process Customs entries and PGA for clearance of goods and ensure compliance.
• Open entry files and process entries per KPI.
• Coordinate clearance of shipments with forwarders, Steamship Lines, and Airlines.
• Complete customer billing and reports.
• Complete tracking and tracing for inbound shipments.
• Coordinate operations from airline/ocean piers to destination.
• Ensure documentation/entry package is uploaded into the system.
• Maintain and update customer SOPs.
