Job summary

Maersk is seeking a CHB Operations Associate to coordinate and expedite shipments for a focused set of client accounts. You will handle import processes, document preparation, and KPI-driven entry processing to ensure timely releases.

The role emphasizes strong communication, multitasking, and teamwork while maintaining accuracy under pressure. Relevant CHB experience and CargoWise familiarity are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CHB experience.
• 6–12 months in the industry.
• CargoWise experience highly desired.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Persistently drives issues to closure.
• Well organized and detail oriented, especially under pressure.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required, or equivalent work experience.
• Customs House Brokerage License preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and expedite shipments to meet client service levels daily.
• Provide customer service to assigned customers and respond to information requests.
• Process customs entries and PGA for clearance of goods.
• Open and process entry files per KPI guidelines.
• Coordinate clearance with forwarders, steamship lines, and airlines.
• Complete customer billing and other required reports.
• Complete tracking and tracing for inbound shipments.
• Coordinate operations for shipments from airline/ocean piers to destination.
• Ensure documentation/entry packages are uploaded into the operating system.
• Maintain customer SOPs and update as needed.
