Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Team Lead for Customs Brokerage to oversee daily operations, ensure timely and accurate handling of entries, and drive team efficiency across the customs workflow in a fast-paced logistics environment.

The role requires coordinating with clients, carriers, and internal teams to reduce delays, ensure compliance, and manage billing and audits. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and training
• Brokerage License preferred
• Ability to apply basic calculations as related to quantities of product picked
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
• Ability to supervise and/or direct the work of others

Responsibilities

• Maximizes team productivity by ensuring team is reaching max file count and ETA of shipments
• Informs management where to assist to reduce overtime
• Leads team per client SOPs and oversees workflow including classification, entry, billing, and audits
• Assists team members in resolving issues with Customs/OGAs and Carriers
• Monitors Entry Status Report to ensure proper handling of Customs holds and exams
• Reviews rejected entries and post-entry work with Import Supervisor
• Monitors payables/receivables and resolves accounting discrepancies
• Audits all entries before submission to Customs and before the 10th day
• Ensures team completes required training and maintains accurate customer profiles
• Notifies supervisors about staff attendance and performs direct reports annual reviews
• Enforces dress code and keeps desks organized
• Disseminates pertinent information to team members
