Job summary

GEODIS is a global third-party logistics provider (3PL) powering the supply chains of some of the world’s top brands and manufacturers. This role develops plans, provides rate quotes, and improves processes while guiding a team through customs and carrier issues.

Responsibilities include preparing compliance reports, training staff, auditing post-entry reviews, and resolving accounting discrepancies. A supervisory background and broker license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Customs Broker License preferred.
• Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Develops plans based on customer specifications.
• Provides rate quotes to clients.
• Reviews processes and implements new procedures.
• Assists teams in resolving Customs and carrier issues.
• Prepares and monitors various Customs compliance and broker management reports.
• Trains, coaches, and supervises team members.
• Manages Post Entry reviews and performs audits.
• Uses understanding of proper processes to resolve problems per industry standards.
• Monitors AP/AR discrepancies and addresses accounting issues.
• Addresses disciplinary and performance issues and complaints as needed.
