Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative to fulfill orders and manage incoming calls under close supervision. You will respond to inquiries, enter orders, and place orders by various channels, while negotiating pricing within set parameters to protect gross profit.

Responsibilities include building customer relationships, maintaining inventory levels, and coordinating shipping methods. No supervisory duties are involved, with standard company policies guiding operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 0–3 years related experience.
• Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail.
• Moderate computer skills; familiar with business systems and internet searches.

Responsibilities

• Respond to basic customer inquiries; provide quotes; and handle order entry.
• Place customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in (counter sales).
• Negotiate sale and purchase prices within parameters to influence gross profit.
• Build customer relationships to drive repeat business and improve processes.
• Ensure inventory levels by ordering items and sourcing from branch/center/supplier inventories.
• Determine cost-effective shipping methods and coordinate with account representatives.
• Expedite backorders and handle returns as needed.
