Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Evansville to accurately fulfill customer orders and handle incoming calls under close supervision.

You will respond to inquiries, provide quotes, enter orders, negotiate prices within guidelines, maintain inventory levels, and work with account representatives to ensure satisfaction. Strong communication and multi-tasking are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 0–3 years related experience
• Strong reliability, organization, and attention to detail required
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening

Responsibilities

• Respond to basic customer inquiries, provide quotes, and handle order entry
• Place customer orders via phone, fax, email, electronic methods, or counter sales
• Influence gross profit by negotiating sale and purchase prices within defined parameters
• Adjust non-contract pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit
• Build customer relationships to drive repeat business and process improvements
• Maintain inventory levels by sourcing items and ensuring availability
• Place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order without approval
• Determine cost-effective shipping methods for orders
• Collaborate with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction
• Expedite backorders and assist with returns
