Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Store Associate for the Portage, MI location. You will deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and ensure a fast, accurate checkout experience. The role includes truck unloading, stocking, merchandising, and participation in omni-channel processes such as Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store.

The job requires retail or customer service experience and being at least 16 years old. Benefits include employee discounts and more.

Qualifications

Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
Michaels requires all team members to be at least sixteen (16) years or older.

Responsibilities

Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions.
Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
Engage customers on the rewards program and enrollments.
Assist with Omni channel processes, including BOPIS and Ship From Store (SFS).
Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
Maintain store recovery, merchandised in-stock conditions, and old go back process.
Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
Support shrink and safety programs; adhere to SOPs and company policies.
Interact respectfully with others and serve as a role model for Team Members.
Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
